« Lymington Ladies win the South Coast Championship | Main | Lymington end the season with 2 wins at Bournemouth »

    September Update

Results; There were 2 regattas in August; Christchurch & Bournemouth.  The J16 crew (Billy, Arran, Rhys & Joe) won at Christchurch.  The Ladies Junior four continued their unbeaten run with another win at Christchurch.  Laura and Erin raced together for the first time in Ladies Junior Pair and won at Bournemouth.  The Vet 50s also won at Bournemouth.
The Ladies Junior Four are H&D Champions, while the Men's junior four are H&D runners up to Christchurch.  Both crews will be representing the H&D at the South Coast Championships at Wimbleball lake in Somerset on Saturday 11th Sept.  The best of luck to both crews.

There will be an End of season party & clean up day - Sat 18 Sept.

AGM - Friday 15 Oct.  At the AGM we present the club accounts for the year and elect the club officers for the next 12 months.  Any member can stand for election to the committee.  In particular we are looking for an Assistant Bar Manager and a Junior Representative.

Club Regatta - Sat 23 October.  This is a fun event with mixed crews of all abilities racing over a 300m course from the Barrier to the Yacht Club.  Registration from 12 - 1 for a 2pm start.  Food afterwards and a party in the evening.

After much debate, we have finally ordered a new Coastal Four.  It will be a centre seated boat made by Rossiters in Christchurch.  This will be the first centre seated boat they have produced, although their staggered seat boats have been very successful on the H&D over the last couple of years.

The Hants & Dorset Dinner will be on Saturday 6 November at the Southampton Novotel, more info to follow.
