Our Club

Lymington Amateur Rowing Club was established in 1881. Our clubhouse can be found on the corner of Quay Road in Lymington. The club has and always will promote the fun & social side of the sport as well as the serious aspect of competitive rowing.

If you would like to try rowing for a bit of fun or if you are an established rower wishing to train hard please get in touch, join up now or come along to the club house, we are looking forward to seeing you.

    December Update 2011

I hope you all had a good Christmas.  The Club Party at Lanes was a great success.

    New clubhouse

As you may know, LARC are currently included on Redrow's plans for the old Webbs site.  The plan will include a clubhouse & boat store, with a low level pontoon, just above the railway bridge.  The plan also includes 168 homes, but this is considerably fewer than the 300 odd homes they already have permission for.

This plan has been submitted to the NFDC for consideration, but the Town Council are not supporting it.  To improve the chances of it going through, could you support the application on the NFDC website.  There are currently 19 against & 10 in favour.  If we can get the in favours up, that should help.  You don't need me to tell you that the current rowing club site is falling apart and we desperately need a new building.

If you would like to support the Redrow Application please

Circuit Training starts on Wednesday 4th January at 6:30pm, Priestlands School Gym (Not the recreation centre).  It will cost £2.50 for adults and £1.50 for Juniors & Students.
Sessions will last about 1 hour, all members (and non members) are welcome.

Membership & racking fees are due in January.  Forms are on the website (lymingtonrowingclub.co.uk) and attached to this e-mail
