    May Update

The regatta season has now started.  Poole regatta produced a win for Pete & Rob in the Senior pair, with seconds for Mike in Junior Scull, the JS Four and the Vet 50s.

Unfortunately Milford Regatta was cancelled last week due to the high winds and rough seas.  We are looking to re-run in August, date to be confirmed.

Crews are politely reminded that at least half the crew are expected to be at boat loading (6pm Fridays) for regattas if they want their boat to go to the regatta.  Help is also required for loading and unloading at the regatta, and for unloading after the regatta.  Regatta fees are also due at boat loading.

The Thames Row has been cancelled due to lack of interest/commitment.  Other fundraising ideas are needed.

A reminder of the regatta entry procedure.
Entry forms for the whole season are on the notice board at the club.  Forms usually come down 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 weeks before the event.  If your crew's not on the list you wont be entered for the regatta.  Late entries (On the day) are possible if there is space in the programme.  This costs £3 extra per seat, and you will be in an outside lane.  If a crew enters a race and then doesn't row, you will still be charged £4 per seat.

Entry fees are usually £4 per seat plus transport (£2 for adults, £1 for Students & Juniors).  There is no extra charge for going on the mini-bus.
Late entries are £7 per seat plus transport.
