Our Club

Lymington Amateur Rowing Club was established in 1881. Our clubhouse can be found on the corner of Quay Road in Lymington. The club has and always will promote the fun & social side of the sport as well as the serious aspect of competitive rowing.

    August Update

    Results
    The JS Men were 2nd at Southsea, but got the H&D point.  There were also 2nd at Newport and Bournemouth.  The JS championship is now 4:4 with 3 regattas to go.
    The Senior Pair were 4th at Southsea, but got the H&D point.  There were no pairs races at Coalporters or Newport.  They won at Bournemouth, taking a 1 point championship lead into the final 2 regattas.
    the Vet 50s picked up another win at Bournemouth in rough conditions.
    The Vet 40s have gone close, but haven't quite managed another win.
    We have had several combinations of Novice men, but consistency of crew has been the main problem for them.
     
    Course
    We will be running a Learn to Row Course from Sunday 25th September till Sun 30 October.  Contact petermlock@hotmail.com if you are interested.
     
    Weddings
    Congratulations to both Pete & Laura, and to Brian & Pauline who both got married in July.
     
    Fees
    Just a reminder that regatta fees are payable for all races entered (Even if the crew then withdraws).
     
    South Coast Championships are at Dorney Lake on Saturday 10th September.  Our JS crew will certainly be in the the championship race, and our Vet 40s might be.
     
    There will be a club clean up day and end of season party on Saturday 17th September.
     
    The Cleaning Rota will restart on Monday, with the Men's Novice A crew.
